Atif Aslam might be scanty at concerts lately but he is still floating commercially viable songs from his bunker that have been safely keeping him at the top of his game, bringing him awards and major contracts within and across the border.he returns with his second album Doorie, which was released primarily in India and is scoring high in Pakistan as well. The boring part of the album is the stretched track list with 17 singles. One gets the feeling that even if the album had half the number of songs, Atif would have received the same response as only these are the ones worth listening.

The album kicks off with two high sounding tracks, the grand hit Doorie and Hum Kis Gali Ja Rahe Hain. Both songs have an energetic beat and dreamy lyrics, giving the album a fresh start. Next up is a duo of slow, soulful songs, Kuch Is Tarah — where Atif'’ vocals are wrapped in sophisticated music — and the much-heard-of Tere Bin, which is also the more imposing of the two. The poignant O Re Piya follows before the album enters the groovy bracket with Mahiya ve Soniya, a true dance hit.

Following up is Atif’s emotional side in Maula, although it has nothing spectacular to it. A list of 10 remixes is lined up after that, reinforcing the fact that the album is a pro boogie wherein the time worn singles from Atif’s previous album sound better.
